The 2022+ M240i, 2020+ M340i & 2021+ M440i are offered with three different front caliper options. They are recognized as the Base Calipers, FMSI Pad Shapes D1867 & D2480.

The Base Calipers use a 348mm Front Rotor. This is the most common factory configuration.

There is also an upgraded 374mm Front Rotor, which uses FMSI Pad Shape 1868. It is Only for cars with Motorsport Engineering Package or  M Performance Brake Kit (S33TA). It is more rare.

All years use the same rear caliper, FMSI Pad Shape 2220, in all trims.

The early year model cars 2020-March 2022 base cars used the D1867 pad shape. In April 2022, BMW launched a new caliper, FMSI Pad Shape D2480 for the base model cars, which is still in production. We are currently producing this pad shape & will launch in 2026.
